Fudje is a design for kids brand that adults will love too.
Julie and Elena work in Athens: they both have grown and lived in South Africa and bring this experience within their design, revisiting the traditional local craft techniques to achieve a contemporary look.
Fudje objects are handmade by highly skilled craftsmen and made from certified companies, with selected materials: in particular, the wood is a strong and resistant chestnut tree, which comes from the Greek region of Agion Oros, then treated with vegetable oils and finished with water-based products, while laces are produced in northern Greece.
The goal of Fudje is to create well-designed and well-finished furniture, with great attention to detail: all production is carried out on the local market in Greece and South Africa, supporting non-profit organizations, such as the African Craft Trust, active in craft development programs across Africa.
